FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do you have a cancelation/ no show policy?
A: Yes. Appointments need to be canceled or rescheduled 24 hours prior to the appointment time. Failure to do so may result in being charged for 100% of the services. In the case of a no show, clients will be charged for 100% of the services scheduled. If you have a valid reason as to why you missed your appointment or were unable to cancel in time, please let Kathryn know. It is up to her discretion to decide not to charge you.
Q: I have a coupon or giftcard, but when I make my appointment, it asks for my credit card. Do I need to put it in to be seen?
A: Much like making a reservation at a hotel, a credit card number is needed in order to hold your appointment. The card will not be charged until the end of the service, but one is still needed to hold your spot.
Q: Do you offer massages?
A: While there is at least 10 minutes of massage in every facial or back facial, the Secret Garden Spa is a skincare spa. Kathryn is an Advanced Practice Esthetician, not a Massage Therapist.
Q: Do you perform “manzillians”, “brozillians”, or “manscaping”?
A: While Kathryn does wax men, at this time, she does not do any waxing in the pelvic area.
Q: How many people can get a service at the same time?
A: Just one person at a time can get a service since Kathryn is the only Esthetician at the Secret Garden Spa.
Q: What is sugaring?
A: Sugar is a form of hair removal, that is similar to waxing. It uses an all-natural sugar paste to quickly remove unwanted hair. It is a great option for people who’ve had a bad experience with waxing, but it also is perfect for a first timer.
Q: Why are the sugaring and waxing listed on the same service? Am I able to choose one vs the other?
A: They are listed together because many clients don’t have a lot of experience choosing which would be the better fit for them. During the consultation at the beginning of the appointment, Kathryn will help you choose which is best for you. If you have a preference between the two, please let Kathryn know by either writing it in the appointment notes, or telling her in person.
Q: I tried calling the phone number listed, but no one answered. How can I get a hold of someone?
A: If no one answered your call, it was because it was either before/after hours, or because Kathryn was with another client. Please leave a message, text, or email. If you are trying to make an appointment, the easiest way to do it is online. Kathryn can sometimes make appointments over the phone, but if she is with another client, that is her priority.
